Jason Grantz, QPA, QKC, QKA, AIFA®
Jason Grantz is a Senior Regional Director with American Trust Company, a
subsidiary of EdgeCo Holdings. In his
role, he is primarily responsible for driving revenue in the MidAtlantic and
Northeastern parts of the U.S and providing mentorship to other team
members. Prior to EdgeCo’s acquisition
of Unified Trust Company in 2020, Jason served as the Director of the Institutional Retirement
Consulting Group and as a
member of the management team. He is highly specialized in all aspects of
retirement plan and pension consulting including plan design, operations,
investments and advanced fiduciary plan governance.
Mr. Grantz has over 25 years of professional experience in the Retirement plan industry, having spent three and a half years as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Sales Director at First Mercantile Trust Company and eight years as an Assistant Vice President and Retirement Plans Specialist for AllianceBernstein Investment Management and Research. He has passed the FINRA Series 7, 6, 66 and 63 exams and holds an NJ State Life/Health Insurance Producer license.
In 1995, Mr. Grantz graduated with Honors from Rutgers University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Economics. He presently holds the following professional designations:
- Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), Qualified 401(k) Consultant (QKC) and Qualified 401(k)Administrator (QKA) from the American Society of Pension Professionals& Actuaries (ASPPA)
- Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA®) from the Center for Fiduciary Studies in association with the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh
Mr. Grantz is a past board member of the Board of Directors for the ASPPA Benefits Council of greater Philadelphia, an organization dedicated to providing continuing education to retirement plan professionals. Jason is a current member of the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) where he sits on their Government affairs Committee. In 2014 and 2015, Jason was honored as one of the Top 75 wholesalers in Defined Contribution and one of Top 25 recordkeeping wholesalers by NAPA net the Magazine, the trade publication for NAPA.
Mr. Grantz has spoken at many industry conferences and events for groups such as the FPA, The 401(k) Study Group, the Society of Financial Service Professionals and ASPPA where his main focus is providing clarity on often misunderstood retirement plan topics. He has been published in various industry journals including the Journal of Pension Benefits, The Journal of Compensation and Benefits and The ASPPA Journal.
